About Capital Edge HR

Capital Edge HR works with founder-led and investor-backed businesses at the point where organisational capability must catch up with ambition.

As organisations grow, restructure or prepare for investment, success depends on more than strategy. It depends on leadership accountability, clear decision ownership and teams capable of executing under pressure.

Many businesses reach this stage without the internal structure to support it. Decision-making becomes concentrated, expectations blur and leadership capability struggles to keep pace with growth.

Capital Edge works with founders and leadership teams to restore clarity — strengthening leadership judgement, organisational structure and decision ownership so the business remains stable and capable of executing through growth, investment and change.

This work is grounded in practical operating experience, inside organisations navigating growth, investor scrutiny and complex leadership decisions where outcomes matter.

What We Focus On

  • Clarifying leadership roles, responsibilities, and decision ownership

  • Strengthening leadership and management capability

  • Supporting organisations through scale, change, or integration

  • Building practical people infrastructure aligned to business performance

  • Ensuring capability is deliberately developed, not left to chance

What this work is focused on

Helping growing organisations build the leadership clarity and organisational capability required to scale with confidence and convert strategy into execution.

Why this matters

Organisational effectiveness and leadership capability are not support functions. They are core drivers of execution and value creation in growing businesses.

About the Founder

Marie Proctor brings more than twenty years’ experience in people and organisational leadership across the UK and Europe, including work with start-ups, scaling businesses and private equity-backed organisations.

Her work has centred on helping organisations navigate the point where ambition outpaces organisational capability. As businesses scale, restructure or prepare for investment, leadership decisions carry real commercial consequences.

Marie works with founders and leadership teams to strengthen leadership accountability, clarify decision ownership and ensure organisational structure keeps pace with growth.

The focus is simple: ensuring leadership decisions remain clear, trusted and executable as the business grows or comes under greater scrutiny.

This perspective is shaped by years spent inside organisations managing growth, integration and leadership change, in environments where execution, investor confidence and organisational stability are on the line.

A grounded perspective

Marie grew up in Port Talbot, South Wales, before building her career across national and international organisations.

That path continues to shape her work today: pragmatic in approach, direct in delivery and focused on practical interventions that strengthen leadership capability and organisational performance.
